This newly-funded study, Coping with Cancer III, seeks to explain and reduce Latino/Non-Latino disparities in advance care planning (ACP) and end-of-life (EOL) care. The aims include the identification of beliefs that contribute to Latino/non-Latino disparities in ACP and EOL care. We are preparing to recruit 400 advanced cancer patients (200 Latino, 200 non-Latino) and their informal caregivers from clinics in New York (NY), Dallas (TX), and Chicago (IL).
